This Ph.D. is a technology expert with 30 years of experience in product design and development, process development, package engineering, manufacture,regulatory clearance and business development for medical devices.  His experience ranges from surgical implants(biomaterials, wound healing, bioresorbables, orthopedics, cardiovascular surgery, urology, neurosurgery, ophthalmics and gastroenterology) to consumer products and over-the-counter drugs (family planning, oral care, skin care and consumer packaging), and environmental sensors; and, in products for the U.S.as well as international markets.  He has specialized in the biological response (both short term and long term) to implant materials, and how to control those responses.  His technical expertise is in the arena of materials science, especially biomaterials, materials compatibility, materials processing, surface modification techniques and materials characterization(both for product development and for failure analysis).  He has also provided expert witness services for patent infringement, patent invalidity and product liability cases.
