Professional Summary: This Ph.D. is Professor and Director of the School of Computer Science at a major University. Before joining the University 1999, he was on the faculty of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University and the faculty of the Department of Computer Science at Texas Tech University. Over the past several years, he has become increasingly active in expert witnessing and consulting. He recently launched a computer forensics and consulting company. He has also co-authored over eighty publications and reports. Agencies that have supported his research include the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Naval Research Laboratory, National Science Foundation, and Rome Laboratory ( now part of the Air Force Research Laboratory ). He has been principal investigator or Co-principal investigator on 19 sponsored research projects totaling more that $2M. He has been retained as an expert for a number of legal cases. Examples of issues associated with these cases include deceptive advertising, intellectual property, computer forensics, origin of e-mail, internet fraud, and breach of contract. In addition to being an accomplished research professor of Computer Science, he is well-versed in the latest computer forensics tools and techniques. |
