This Ph.D. has over thirty-five years of scientific accomplishment in laser and optic technology in both government and industrial applications, including instrumentation and scientific software.  He was a Chief Scientist and Program Manager at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, in the Laser Science and Technology Program.  At Livermore he covered a very broad range of technologies and science projects in both government and industrial partnership programs.  In 2002, he founded a consulting and contract research business with a focus on lasers and optic technology.  His areas of expertise and applications include laser medicine, wafer processing, consumer electronics, materials processing and telecommunications.  He holds several patents and has over 140 technical publications in refereed journals in this subject-matter.  He is an experienced testifying Expert Witness in patent infringement litigation.
