Professional Summary:

This Ph.D has over 45-years of industry and academic experience beginning in 1964 when he was employed with the IBM Corporation in Research and Advanced Development of Silicon Bipolar, CMOS and High Voltage Integrated Circuit processing, devices and circuit technologies.  In 1978, he joined the College of Engineering and Applied Science of a major University where he is currently Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering.  At the University he developed the Graduate Program in Microelectronics, established the Microelectronics Laboratory and was the Founding Director of the Microelectronics Laboratory. He has held Visiting Professorships at Syracuse University, University of Chile, and the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. 

As a Senior Consultant with the United Nations Development Program, he assisted in establishing the research and technological direction of the Microelectronics Program.  He was also designated a Distinguished Fulbright Scholar at the University of Sao Paulo where he provided invited lectures, graduate course development and instruction, thesis and doctoral supervision, and assisted in establishing the research and technological directions of the Microelectronics Program and Laboratory.  Additionally, he has extensive practical experience at both the industrial and corporate levels in Microelectronics, having served as a technical and management consultant for several Microelectronic Companies.  He has published over 70 technical papers in journals and conferences.  His current area of research is the fabrication, materials, device physics, modeling and simulation, and circuit performance of SiGe nano-structure heterojunction bipolar transistors for high frequency applications.
