This Ph.D has over 40-years experience in diverse wireless communications industries as an engineer, general manager, deal-maker and consultant.   He has innovations in communication system design and financial engineering, an unusual and valuable combination of talents.  He has expertise in satellite communications systems, terrestrial digital radio and packet switching networks, and developing semiconductors for wireless communications. His work in Financial Engineering has covered proposing and implementing a proprietary financial model for valuing Intellectual Property (IP).  The model applies "real options" contingent cash flow analysis to compute how the IP contract terms drive future product design decisions that affect IP reuse.  He also developed use of real options for technology licensing has now become widespread in the semiconductor industry.
