This Ph.D has over 30 years experience in Optical Engineering and is an Expert in gradient-index optics, computer-aided design, optical systems manufacturing, and medical optics ( optics for minimally invasive surgery ), and optical instrumentation. 

He is the Founder and former President of lens manufacturing company, and the author of numerous patents in optical technology which fields include radial gradient index, telecentric lens system, and index of refraction.  He was invited to serve as the Special Advisor to the Director in the Executive Office of the President of the United States and has been named as the Distinguished Inventor of the Year by the Rochester Intellectual Property Law Association, Gold Medal of The International Society for Optical Engineering, and National Engineering Award of the American Association of Engineering Societies. 

He is also a testifying Expert Witness for intellectual property litigations, and has been engaged by such corporations as Samsung, Applera, VISX, Inc. and Canon.
