This Expert holds a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Tennessee in the area of electron spectroscopy of surfaces.  He is the inventor or co-inventor on numerous patents, and currently serves as the President of a non-profit research corporation established to foster economic development through innovation in advanced microfabrication technologies.  He has held positions at Texas Instruments where he did research on surfaces and interfaces of semiconductor materials, and Tektronix where he managed the Materials Development and Characterization Laboratory focusing on semiconductor and display related technologies.  He served as the Director of the Electronic Materials and Device Technology Laboratory of MCNC in the Electronic Technologies Division.
