Professional Summary: This expert witness has over 25 years of experience in the environmental industry as an expert witness and in litigation support strategy and planning. He worked in the oil and gas industry in Alaska and California as an exploration geologist from 1981 to 1989, and appraises farm-in opportunities as well as oil and gas interests for fair market value which includes environmental liabilities. He is a Fulbright Senior Scholar winning four awards in environmental science teaching post-graduate workshops in risk-based subsurface environmental management and sustainable remediation methods. He recently co-authored a book Oil Spills and Gas Leaks (in press, McGraw-Hill) and has worked extensively on and written widely about the assessment and remediation of soil and groundwater at oil and gas production facilities impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and heavy metals. He has co-authored and edited books on topics such as MTBE, Chromium(VI) and Acid Mine and Rock Drainage (in press; Wiley and Sons). He teaches Sustainable Remediation Methods for Soil and Water (X-451) for the University of California, Berkeley Extension Program. This expert witness has bachelors and masters degrees in geology and over 20 years of experience in in-situ remediation as a project manager and licensed contractor responsible managing officer (general engineering, drilling, and hazardous waste removal). |
