This Ph.D is a Professor at a major University where he has taught courses in optical engineering since 1991.  After receiving his Ph.D., he was employed by Eastman Kodak.  He is a fellow of SPIE-the International Society for Optical Engineering and of the Optical Society of America.   He has also served on the Boards of Directors of both of these professional Societies.  He was a member of the National Research Council Committee on Optical Science and Engineering (COSE). 

His research interests include optical system design, interferometry and optical testing of aspheric surfaces, ophthalmic instrumentation and measurements, optical fabrication, ophthalmic and visual optics, optical metrology systems, distance measurement systems, sampled imaging theory, and optics of electronic imaging systems.
