This Ph.D. has over 30 years of academic and industry experience in all aspects of software system design, development, implementation, and small group management, including:

• Particular expertise in X Windows, Motif, graphical user interfaces, algorithms, and relational databases.
• Experience has been in a broad spectrum of technology, in several languages and in a wide variety of applications.
• Exceptional problem solving skills: understand the problem, research what is known, derive methods of attack, and implement solutions first conceptually and then in software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Presents well in interpersonal contacts, explains complex concepts clearly, and writes well on levels ranging from scientific to end user documentation.
