Professional Summary: After receiving his PhD degree in Optics from The Institute of Optics at the University of Rochester in 1984, This Ph.D joined the technical staff at AT and T Bell Laboratories. He performed research in ultrafast laser technology, semiconductor physics and optoelectronics, and fiber optics. He was promoted to Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, and then to Director of the Advanced Photonics Research Department. After returning to The Institute of Optics as Director and Professor of Optics, he was awarded Fellow rank in the Optical Society of America and the American Physical Society. In 2001, he began his role as a consultant in advanced technology, technology commercialization and patent litigation support, specializing as an Expert Witness with experience in Patent Litigation involving inventorship, invalidity, unenforceability, and other issues. His ability to understand complex technical issues and explain them to people with general knowledge is particularly strong. |
