This expert witness has over 30 years experience in the telecommunications and computing industries, where he successfully led numerous projects in products and services. In the area of products, his roles included the specification of system level architecture, and the design and detailed development of applications software and operating systems, firmware, and hardware at the system, board, and IC levels. In the area of network services, he has been actively involved in the creation of network architectures and the development of advanced user services. In addition to leading teams of experts developing data communications protocols ( OSI 7-layer model and the IETF model ), he held active leadership roles in defining both national and international standards.

His most recent experience has been in wireless networks where he had responsibility for setting the strategic direction for both network architecture and products.  In 2002, he began providing technical consulting services in telecommunications technologies and associated hardware and software systems focused primarily on smaller businesses employing emerging technologies.  This work has given him a unique insight into the importance of managing intellectual property in a pro-active manner, and to develop efficient methods and processes for managing these assets.
