In 1986 after completing his Doctorate at Oxford, this Ph.D joined the faculty of the Electrical Engineering Department at a major University, where he began teaching and conducting research in the areas of Systems, Control and Communications. Since that time he has directed 17 Ph.D. dissertations and 36 M.S. Thesis projects and has taught graduate and undergraduate Electrical Engineering core courses in Circuits, Signals and Systems, Controls and Communications.  He has published more than 140 technical articles and refereed conference papers and received several best paper awards in his research areas of communications networks, telecommunications and control systems.
