Professional Summary: This Ph.D.'s studies address accident reconstruction, biomechanics, and human factors as demonstrated by his 40years of independent research; his more than 200 internationally distributed publications, reports, and presentations; his thirteen book co-authorship; and his journal guest editorships. After more than 22 years of service, he retired as Senior Scientist with the RAND Corporation. He was on the faculty at the RAND Graduate School for eighteen years, and taught as an Adjunct Faculty at UCLA, USC, Naval Post-Graduate School, George Mason University. He has been a Reserve Coroner with a California county since June 2000, and served as a Commissioner of Policing and Safety for another California City.
He has been a court-appointed Hearing Officer since 1995. Only 30% of his work is litigation: of that, the distribution is 70% Defense, 25% Plaintiff, and 5% Mediation. He has successfully qualified and effectively applied his analyses in courtroom testimony about 1300 times over the past 34 years. |
