This Ph.D. is polymer expert with a solid chemistry and materials science background and considerable practical experience in the development of advanced materials, products and processes for a variety of industries including medical devices, pharmaceuticals and consumer healthcare.  He has particular technical expertise in formulation and applications of synthetic and natural polymeric materials for use in functional medical devices and controlled release of pharmaceuticals.  His experience includes research management, product development, manufacturing, technology assessment, and intellectual property.  He is also a prolific inventor with thirty-one US patents and numerous foreign patents issued to date.  He has been engaged by several major law firms involved in various aspects of patent litigation concerning the use of polymers in various devices.  He has performed for these law firms both behind the scenes and as a testifying technical expert witness.  Additionally, this Ph.D. is a registered US patent agent with an in depth understanding of current US patent law as well as PCT procedures.
