This Ph.D has over 20 years experience in research and development in information technology.  He has published over 50 papers in prestigious journals and conferences, on topics ranging from programming language design and implementation, to distributed systems, peer-to-peer networks, and storage infrastructure.  Prior to joining academia, he was a Senior Vice-President at a high-tech startup, and was a Senior Research Scientist at NEC Research Laboratories.  He has substantial consulting experience with government agencies, and private sector corporations.
